Good morning world. You're living in the 21st century and people like you communicate using words, gifs, memes and most importantly - emojis. Let's get to know them a little more here at the Pixers Emoji Sticker gallery.These characters include symbols & pictograms that represent a constantly growing range of everyday objects and activities plus, most importantly, faces with a full spectrum of emotions - from happy to sad, angry to confused, surprised to tired. The word “emoji” comes from a Japanese combination of "picture" (e) and "character" (moji). But before we were blessed with emojis, there were emoticons. Most likely a misprint, The New York Times is responsible for the 1st use of :) when the newspaper printed a transcribed copy of a speech given by Abraham Lincoln in August 1862. Let's jump 137 years. We're in Japan. Shigetaka Kurita, an artist, wanted a simple way to convey information on the mobile platform he was working on.
