Titian Posters

That's a real treat, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to the Pixers Titian Posters collection! Tiziano Vecellio, better known as Titian, was one of the most prominent painters of the 16th-century Italian Renaissance city of Venice. Born between 1485 and 1490 in Pieve di Cadore, Italy, he left home with his brother as a child. He managed to learn how to paint in the studios of Gentile Bellini and his brother, Giovanni Bellini. Around 1518, he finished his altarpiece Assumption of the Virgin, which gained him a vast reputation as one of the top artists from Venice. Over the course of his life, he painted for members of royalty and the clergy, including Pope Paul II. Titian had painted, for the Pope, portraits of himself and his family. The artist died on August 27, 1576, in Venice. Today, we consider him as one of the most highly influential artists of all time. His use of colour and lively brushwork has influenced generations of artists, including Peter Paul Rubens and Nicolas Poussin. He excelled in all kinds of paintings. From altarpieces, religious subjects, classical mythology, allegorical works to portraits, Tiziano Vecellio painted everything. The Venus of Urbino is arguably his most popular and famous masterpiece. Now you don't have to go to New York, Rome or London to look at these masterpieces.
